Creating a simple Logo

We're gunna start by making a 100x100 pixel work area.
Now we're gunna use the Rectangular Tool to make a simple small square almost the same size as our working area.
You should have something like below:

Now simply use the Direct Selection Tool to simply adjust the corners on our shape.
I'm adjusting the top left and bottom right corners.
With the top left I'm dragging almost perfectly towards the center.
With the bottom right I'm dragging somewhat the same but a bit more to the right.
I'm left with:

We now want to resterize the shape (When we're happy with it).
Go to Layer > Rasterize > Shape.

Now select the layer (Hold control button on your keyboard and select the layer in the layer palette)
Now we're going to go Select> Modify > Contract
I'm choosing to contract by about 4 pixels.
Now i'm going to press delete.
I now have:

I'm going to duplicate my layer 3 times. (Right click Layer> Duplicate Layer...)
You can choose to duplicate more or less times if you wish to.
We now gunna evenly seperate our layers in distance.
Here how mine looks:

WE'RE FINISHED

Why not experiment with your new logo like I have done below:
